Box Score IRVINE, Calif. – The Benedictine University Mesa men's soccer team saw their season come to an end earlier than they had hoped, falling in a California Pacific Conference Opening Round match against Westcliff University, 3-0, on Saturday night in Irvine, Calif.
The Redhawks created chances but struggled to convert anything in the first 45 of the match. Logan Haricombe had one shot on goal in the first half at the 13-minute mark forcing Westcliff to make a save. Despite outshooting the Redhawks, the Warriors were also unable to convert anything for a goal.
The Warriors took the lead at the 50th minute bringing the score to 1-0. Westcliff would continue to apply pressure and increase their lead to 3-0 by the 70th minute. The Redhawks were unable to counter the Warriors offense and finished the match taking 7 shots and making 5 saves.
The Redhawks finish the season with an overall record of 6-9-3 and finished Cal Pac play at 6-5-1.
