Box Score MESA, Ariz. – The Benedictine University Mesa men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to No. 13 Ottawa-AZ in the non-conference match up on Tuesday evening at Bell Bank Park. The Redhawks are now 2-2-2 overall but remain 2-0 in Cal Pac.
OUAZ was paced by Titouan Desveaux, who scored in the 51st and 53rd minutes. The Redhawks outshot the Spirit 6-5 in the second half and found the net on a free kick off the post from Jason Almanza. Despite the late effort from the Redhawks, the team came up short and was unable to land the other five shots between the posts.
Donato Gil and Aidan Klein split time between the posts. Klein allowed two goals while Gil allowed the one in the first half. Both combined for 3 saves from the Spirits 6 shots on goal in the match.
