FORT WORTH, Texas – Matt Campbell and Sebastian Carranza finished in the top 15 at the Texas Intercollegiate Invitational held in Fort Worth, Texas. Campbell finished in 6th after one round of play shooting just 1-over par. By the end of three, Campbell had dropped to 9th and shot 11-over.
Carranza finished the first round tied for 10th shooting 5-over par. The second round went better than the first with Carranza just missing the mark at 3-over. After three rounds of play, Carranza finished tied for 11th and shot 14-over par.
The Benedicitne University men's golf team finished in 6th with their best round of play on the second day where they totaled 307.
"At the Texas Intercollegiate, we dug ourselves into too deep of a hole in the first round to recover. Not the result we were looking for, but it was a very competitive field, including some of the best teams in the nation, and gives us a baseline to work from," says head coach Bryan Allison.
Th Redhawks look to improve at the Ottawa-AZ Fall Invitational held at Sterling Grove Golf & Country Club, Buckeye, Ariz. on October 2nd through the 4th.
