Box Score MESA, Ariz. – The Redhawks fell to the University of Antelope Valley, 1-0, at Bell Bank Park on Thursday night. Benedictine is now 2-5-3 overall and 2-2-1 in Cal Pac.
The Pioneers struck in the 13th minute with a goal from Adrian Quintero.
The Redhawks headed into the break outshooting the Pioneers, 7-to-3. Benedictine continued to apply offensive pressure in the second half and created multiple opportunities to score, outshooting the Pioneers, 5-to-0. Gilberto Rivera made two great runs into the box but both shots were rattled into a Pioneer defender. Carlos Barraza made four attempts at the goal but was unable to get any past the goalie.
