MESA, Ariz. – The Benedictine University Mesa women's soccer team enters the California Pacific Conference Championship as the fourth seed, earning a home field advantage against Simpson University. BenU secured a spot in the Championship tournament last week, but seeding was dependent on a few scenarios. The Redhawks enter the tournament at 6-6-2 overall and finished the Cal Pac season at 6-3-2.
The last matchup between Benedictine and Simpson went to BenU with the Redhawks winning by a score of 2-1. Both team finished with 10 shots but BenU held a 9-to-6 shot on goal advantage. The Redhawks forced 7 saves on the Simpson keeper while
Jaden Campbell made five saves to secure the win for BenU.
