The Benedictine University Mesa athletics department is pleased to announce the hiring of Tyler Hoffman as the new head men's soccer coach.

Hoffman most recently spent time at Stanford University as the Director of Operations for the men's soccer program. In his role with the Cardinal, he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the program. Hoffman also played a critical role on the coaching staff training and developing the goalkeepers. His efforts helped take the team to the NCAA DI Round of 16 in the 2022 season.

Stanford head coach, Jeremy Gunn, said "On behalf of our program, staff, and players, we would like to thank Tyler for the incredible job he performed last year. His work ethic, enthusiasm, and energy, were an important part of our program." Gunn added, "Moving forward, we want to offer our heartfelt congratulations to Tyler and we're excited to see him do fantastic things with this new opportunity and challenge. We wish him good luck and thank you!"

Hoffman also spent time as the Associate Head Coach for the men's and women's soccer programs at Las Positas College. While there, Hoffman led the Hawks to eight playoff appearances between both teams.

Hoffman has spent time in other coaching roles with multiple youth soccer teams, with the Oakland Roots Sports Club, and at California State University East Bay and has found success at every level.

Hoffman earned a master's degree in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University and his bachelor's degree in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Hawaii at Hilo. While studying in Hawaii, he competed as a soccer student-athlete, earning three Pac West Defender of the week awards.
