Men’s Basketball Dominates West Coast Baptist in 112-48 Blowout

Benedictine Mesa Men's Basketball crushes West Coast Baptist, 112-48, at home Tuesday night, overpowering West Coast Baptist with relentless defense and sharp shooting.

Benedictine set the tone early, with Damian Zivak draining a three-pointer off Deven Franks' assist just seconds into the game. Zivak followed with a steal and jumper to extend the lead to 5-0. Seth Dawson and Deven Foster added three-pointers, while Tanner Crawford brought the crowd to its feet with an emphatic dunk.

The Redhawks' suffocating defense forced turnovers and capitalized on fast breaks, pushing their lead to 23-10 by the 10-minute mark. Contributions poured in from across the roster, with Franks, Crawford, and Miles Chanthavongsa leading the charge. Benedictine closed the half firmly in control, 50-14.

The dominance continued in the second half, as the Redhawks opened with a three-pointer by Foster, assisted by Zivak. Franks, Dawson, and Crawford added to the scoring spree with layups and inside plays. On defense, Crawford and Zivak blocked key shots, while the Redhawks controlled the boards, limiting second chances for their opponents.

Benedictine's depth shone brightly as bench players like Chanthavongsa, Jaylin Turner, and Benjamin Ramirez made impactful plays. Turner electrified the crowd with a dunk, while Olmsted capped the game with a deep three-pointer.
