WBB Finishes Regular Season With Win Over Cal Maritime, 77-56

The Benedictine Mesa Women's Basketball team concluded their regular season with a decisive victory against Cal Maritime, securing a 77-56 win.

Raenesha Willis initiated Benedictine's scoring with two successful free throws, propelling the Redhawks into an 8-point run. Although Cal Maritime narrowed the lead, Maria Moore's 3-pointer and a jumper from Xaria Culver extended the advantage to 9 points. The 1st quarter concluded with the Redhawks leading 17-10.

In the 2nd quarter, Cal Maritime reduced the lead to 5 points initially, but Nyah Henderson's consecutive layups reestablished a 10-point lead for BenU, ending the first half with a score of 29-19.

During the 3rd quarter, BenU expanded their lead to 16 points, but Cal Maritime managed to cut it back to 14. The Redhawks responded with consecutive 3-pointers, pushing the lead to 18. Despite the Keelhaulers' efforts to reduce the deficit, Benedictine maintained control, concluding the 3rd quarter with a score of 56-37.

In the fourth quarter, the Redhawks widened their lead to 29 points, but Cal Maritime managed to trim it back to 21. Benedictine dominated the boards, outrebounding Cal Maritime 12-7, ultimately securing a 77-56 victory despite the Keelhaulers' 19 points in the final quarter.
