The Benedictine Mesa women's soccer team faced a tough battle on Tuesday evening, falling 6–1 to La Sierra University.

La Sierra struck first in the 27th minute when Averi Costa found the back of the net to make it 1–0. Just before halftime, Isabella Iniguez converted a penalty kick to extend the lead to 2–0 heading into the break.

The Golden Eagles continued their momentum in the second half. Samantha Torres scored in the 48th minute, followed by a goal from Elaina Gonzalez in the 59th to make it 4–0. Benedictine Mesa responded in the 69th minute when Tori St. Rose finished off a setup from Cahryn Rod, putting the Redhawks on the board.

However, La Sierra would add two more goals down the stretch to seal the 6–1 final.
