Chance Sharp is in his third year as an assistant coach for the Benedictine University Mesa baseball program.

Coach Sharp began his reign as the pitching coach during the 2020 campaign. He led a pitching staff that established a 22-7 record before the Covid-19 shutdown.

Sharp started his coaching career with the Springfield Sliders as their pitching coach in 2015. In 2016, he became the pitching coach at Kofa High School, where he stayed for three seasons. After that Sharp was a pitching coach and later named the manager for  the High Desert Yardbirds, in the Pecos Professional League. Sharp also was the head coach for the California Grizzly of the Palm Springs Collegiate League.

Sharp started his baseball career at Salem University (NCAA DII). He played there from 2012-2014 and was awarded All-Conference in 2013. Sharp then transferred to New Mexico Highlands University where he finished out his academic and collegiate baseball career. Sharp played in the Pecos Professional Baseball League for the Garden City Wind in 2016 and the High Desert Yardbirds in 2017.

Sharp is originally from Yuma, Arizona. He now live in Mesa with his wife, Alexis and their two dogs, Strike and Sophie.
