Ford Ladd enters his second season as assistant coach for the baseball program at Benedictine University Mesa.

Ladd's previous stop was at McCook CC (NE). There he oversaw a pitching staff that led Region IX in K's and 2nd in K/9. 6 pitchers moved on to play at the next level from that staff. Prior to MCC, he served as Coordinator of Research and Development for Georgia Gwinnett College baseball team in Lawrenceville, Ga., that won the 2021 NAIA Baseball World Series Championship. He managed baseball tech and created data for several baseball technology platforms as well as assisting with player development planning and strength and conditioning.

Ladd has spent the previous 2 summers working in the Appalachian League. 2021 as the Data/Video Coordinator for the Danville Otterbots and 2022 as the pitching coach for the Princeton WhistlePigs. 

In the summer of 2019 he was a player development intern for the Cape Cod League in Wareham, Mass. working with infielders and hitters using several data-driven technologies. The prior summer he worked for the Brooklyn Cyclones (Class A, New York Mets affiliate) in the ticket office and game day operations as well as the NYU Varsity Performance Center fostering student athletes' development.

Ladd graduated from New York University's Stern School of Business in May of 2020. He also played baseball there from 2016-2020, captaining the team in his final two years and worked in the sports performance department.

Ladd grew up in Longmont, Colo., attended Niwot High School and played baseball and golf for four years and was named Male Athlete of the Year in 2016, as well as academic all-state first team honors in 2015 and 2016.
