Willie Tatum III, an infielder from Sacramento, California, joined Benedictine University Mesa in 2025 after playing at American River College. During his time with the Redhawks, Tatum made an impact both offensively and defensively, appearing in 32 games with 24 starts in 2025. He recorded a .264 batting average with 23 hits, 15 runs scored, 5 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run, and 11 RBIs while posting a .337 on-base percentage. Defensively, he was a reliable presence in the infield, compiling 174 putouts and a .984 fielding percentage. Tatumgraduated from BENU in 2026 and has since transitioned into a coaching role as a graduate assistant for the Redhawks baseball program,where he continues to contribute to the development of the team's student-athletes.
