Benedictine University Mesa

Roy Carrasco, from San Tan Valley, Arizona, joins Benedictine University Mesa baseball in 2026 after a strong career at Glendale Community College. A graduate of Piston Butte High School, Carrasco earned First Team All-Region honors before moving on to Glendale, where he was named Playoff Most Valuable Player. During the 2024–25 season, he appeared in 47 games, collecting 34 hits with 16 RBIs and finishing with a .254 batting average, .346 on-base percentage, and .336 slugging percentage. Behind the plate, Carrasco recorded 268 putouts and 38 assists with a .978 fielding percentage, while throwing out 31 runners attempting to steal. Bringing both offensive production and defensive reliability, Carrasco looks to make an immediate impact for the Redhawks in 2026.
