Benedictine University Mesa

DaiSean Kirk is entering his seventh season as a collegiate coach and his first at Benedictine University Mesa. He joins the program after a historic season at Rocky Mountain College, where he was able to expand his coaching experience and responsibilities while helping the Battlin’ Bears finish 34-4. Rocky Mountain captured both the Frontier Conference regular-season title and conference tournament championship before advancing to the NAIA Elite Eight in Kansas City, marking Kirk’s second trip to Kansas City as an assistant coach.

A native of Surprise, Arizona, Kirk began his collegiate career at Ottawa University Arizona as a member of the men’s basketball program. During his time as a student-athlete, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications and master’s degree in Leadership before transitioning into coaching at OUAZ. During his time on the coaching staff, the Spirit compiled a 79-38 record, captured two GSAC Conference Tournament Championships, and made three appearances in the NAIA National Tournament, including a run to the Fab Four in Kansas City. Kirk’s responsibilities included recruiting, scouting, player development, and program operations, while also serving as the head coach of the developmental team for two seasons. He also gained valuable leadership experience serving as interim head coach during a transition within the program.
