Benedictine University Mesa

Eric Klutke, a member of the Benedictine University Mesa men’s golf team, is from Crystal Lake, Illinois, and graduated from Crystal Lake Central High School. Before joining the Redhawks in 2024, he competed at the Division I level with Murray State University and also played at South Mountain Community College. In his first season with Benedictine, Klutke quickly established himself as one of the team’s top performers, earning a spot on the 2024–25 GSAC All-Conference Team. He turned in a series of standout performances, including tying for second at the Embry-Riddle Fall Invite with rounds of 76, 69, and 71 (216), and placing 8th at the Firestorm Fall Invite after closing with back-to-back under-par rounds. He tied for 29th at the Park Gilbert Invitational and delivered a strong showing at the Sea Beggar Invitational, where he closed with an even-par 34 on the back nine. Klutke also placed 21st at the Maverick Desert Classic, leading the Redhawks with a stellar final round 68 (-4), and finished 7th at The Battle at Laughlin Ranch with a 1-under 71. His season was highlighted by a 4th-place finish at the GSAC Conference Tournament, where he shot a composed 67 with birdies on five different holes, showcasing both consistency and precision under pressure.
