A native of Chatsworth, CA, DeGrasse played high school volleyball at Chatsworth High School, where he earned Player of the Year honors in 2016 and led his team to a CIF Championship as an outside hitter. He served as team captain during the 2015 and 2016 seasons, being named Team MVP both years.
DeGrasse began his college career at LA Pierce College, a junior college in Los Angeles, CA, where he played as the team's libero. He helped the team win the state championship in 2018 and served as captain in 2019, transitioning to the outside hitter position.
After two seasons at LA Pierce, DeGrasse was recruited to the NAIA defending national champions, Benedictine University in Mesa, AZ, as the team’s libero. In his first season at Benedictine in 2020, he was named CalPac Defender of the Year, and in 2021, he earned First Team All-Conference honors, helping lead Benedictine to the national championship. He graduated from Benedictine in 2021 with a degree in Psychology.
DeGrasse later earned a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with focuses in Counseling and Educational Leadership from Western New Mexico University.
