Biography

Preston Vine-Close, an outfielder from Pasco, Washington, is entering his second season with the Benedictine University Mesa Redhawks. A graduate of Chiawana High School, Vine-Close continued his baseball career at Grays Harbor College before transferring to BENU in 2024. In his first season with the Redhawks, he played in 40 games, tallying 33 runs, 30 hits, and 17 RBIs while also recording 3 doubles, 2 triples, and 1 home run. Defensively, he contributed 64 putouts. Now in 2025, Vine-Close looks to build upon his strong debut season with the Redhawks.
