Benedictine University Mesa

Alexa Rice, a softball player from Meridian, Idaho, joins Benedictine Mesa for the 2026 season. A graduate of Owyhee High School, Rice was a varsity starter and key hitter in the lineup, helping her team capture the 2023 State Championship after finishing as the runner-up in both 2021 and 2022. In club softball, she competed under Ryan Crosby with Idaho Intensity and later with Crossfire under Coach David Dwyer, gaining experience at a high level of play. Rice continued her career at Treasure Valley Community College, where she was a two-year starter and consistent offensive force. She posted a conference batting average over .400, hit more than 10 home runs, and excelled as the lead off hitter for the Chukars.
