Benedictine University Mesa

Alyssa Chavez, a softball player from Fillmore, California, joins Benedictine Mesa in 2026. A graduate of Agoura High School, Chavez was a four-year varsity starter who helped lead her team to the playoffs every season. As a freshman, she earned Honorable Mention All-Marmonte League, followed by Second Team All-Marmonte League and Defensive Player of the Year honors as a sophomore. Despite battling injury during her junior year, she returned to guide her team on its deepest postseason run in school history, going 3–0 in the Southern Section Division 3 playoffs before falling in the semifinals. She capped off her senior year by helping Agoura capture its first Marmonte League championship in more than a decade. In club softball, Chavez closed out her travel ball career with the BSC Bengals Gurule/Martinez, where she contributed to a runner-up finish at the 2024 Triple Crown Nationals (16U) and a top-10 showing at the 2024 PGF Platinum Nationals.
