Kaylee Purgatorio, from Lemont, Illinois, attended Lake Forest College, where she studied Business, Sociology, and Anthropology. She brings four years of coaching experience as an assistant coach for the Chicago Cheetahs, a travel softball organization working with players ages 14–18. During her time with the Cheetahs, she helped guide teams to three top-four finishes. As a player, Purgatorio was the starting shortstop at Lake Forest College for all four years, earning two Second Team All-Conference honors, winning three Conference Championships, and making an NCAA appearance in 2025.
