Benedictine University Mesa

Sarah Potter, a standout softball player from Gilbert, Arizona, joins Benedictine Mesa for the 2026 season. A graduate of Highland High School, she earned First Team All-Region honors in 2023, collected All-Academic recognition as both a junior and senior, and competed in the 6A All-Star Game. She began her collegiate career at South Mountain Community College, where she played a pivotal role in helping her team reach the NJCAA DII World Series in 2023. That season, she appeared in 50 games and posted a .323 batting average with 37 runs, 43 hits, eight home runs, and 33 RBIs, including scoring the game-winning run in the Region I Championship. As a redshirt sophomore in 2025, she appeared in 13 games, hitting .333 with nine runs, nine hits, four doubles, three home runs, and 14 RBIs, while producing an impressive .455 on-base percentage and .815 slugging percentage. She delivered standout performances, including a three-RBI game against Lake Region State, a two-home-run effort against Paradise Valley CC, and a four-RBI showing against Chandler-Gilbert CC. Off the field, Potter excelled academically, earning NJCAA All-Academic First Team honors in both 2023–24 and 2024–25.
