Benedictine University Mesa

Gilbert, Arizona native Audrina Wenze Atencio joins the Benedictine Mesa women's basketball program for her first season in 2026 after a standout career at Camille Casteel High School. A team captain during her senior season, Atencio earned Honorable Mention All-State honors in Arizona's 6A classification in 2025-26 and was recognized as a Latino Youth Honors recipient. Known for her playmaking ability and defensive presence, she finished her senior year ranked among the Top 10 players in the state (6A) in both assists and steals. Prior to her senior campaign, Atencio was nominated for 6A District Defensive Player of the Year honors during the 2024-25 season, highlighting her impact on both ends of the floor. Her leadership, court vision, and defensive intensity make her a valuable addition to the Redhawks program.
