RaShawn Howell

RaShawn Howell enters her third season as the head coach of the women’s basketball program. In her first season, Howell led the team to their third Cal Pac Conference tournament appearance. In her second year, she guided the Redhawks back to the Cal Pac Conference tournament with an impressive 15-5 conference record. Howell was named Cal Pac Coach of the Year for the 2023-24 season. Under her leadership, six players have received All-Cal Pac honors.
 
Howell played her collegiate career at Siena Heights University in Adrian, Mich. where she helped the team make three national tournament appearances in her four seasons with the Saints. Before making her way back to the valley, she was an assistant coach at McPherson College in Kansas.
 
Howell most recently led the Peoria High School girls’ basketball program, before that she was the head girls’ basketball coach at Maricopa High School. During her stint with Maricopa High School, she was named the District Coach of the Year after coaching the team to the elite 8 in the state tournament.
 
Howell earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Siena Heights University and earned her Master of Liberal Studies in Health Sciences from Fort Hays State University.
