Benedictine University Mesa

Shiryl Yazzie, from Window Rock, Arizona, joins the Benedictine University Mesa women’s basketball program in 2025. A graduate of Window Rock High School, Yazzie continued her career at Chandler-Gilbert Community College, where she became a key contributor over two seasons. In 2023-24, she appeared in 28 games with 19 starts, averaging 6.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. The following season, she played in 19 games with 9 starts, adding 5.2 points and 2.9 rebounds per contest. Across her two seasons, Yazzie totaled 47 games with 28 starts, averaging 5.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists while collecting 53 steals and 21 blocks. Now at Benedictine Mesa, she looks to bring her experience and defensive presence to the Redhawks.
