Benedictine University Mesa

Valerie Van Dijk, from Anthem, AZ, is a member of the Benedictine University Mesa women’s basketball team. A graduate of Bella Vista College Prep, Valerie built an impressive high school career, earning accolades such as All-State, Scholar Athlete, Citizenship Award, President’s Award, and First Team All-Offense honors.

She began her collegiate career at Ottawa University, where she played in 11 games during the 2020-21 season, averaging 2.6 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. Valerie then competed at Park University Gilbert, where she appeared in 5 games, recording 16 points, 27 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 steal.

Valerie joined Benedictine Mesa in the 2023-24 season, where she played in 15 games and tallied 76 points, 44 rebounds, 6 steals, and 4 assists. After contributing to the Redhawks in her first year, she returned to the team for the 2025-26 season, continuing her collegiate basketball journey.
