Bruce Hough has dedicated decades to the sport of soccer as both a player and coach, making a lasting impact on the Arizona soccer community. A native of Phoenix, Arizona, Hough attended Glendale Community College in 1965-66 before his education was interrupted by service during the Vietnam Conflict. His playing experience spans multiple levels, including the Phoenix Men's Metro League, the Phoenix Police Olympic Team, and the Phoenix Indoor Soccer League. Hough began his coaching career in 1978 and has since amassed extensive experience at nearly every level of the game, including club, high school, middle school, YMCA, AYSO, junior college, and adult men's soccer. Throughout his distinguished coaching career, he has guided both boys' and girls' club teams to three Arizona state championships each. At the high school level, he led the Desert Vista girls' soccer program to three state finals appearances, capturing one state championship. He also served as an assistant coach at Mesa Community College, helping the program advance to regional competition. Hough's lifelong commitment to developing players and building successful programs has established him as a respected figure in Arizona soccer.
