Glen Butler

Glen is entering his first season with the Redhawks. Prior to Benedictine, Butler coached at McKendree University, working with both the Women’s and Men’s Teams. He was the lead assistant for the women, guiding them to their first unbeaten season and highest national ranking, and worked predominantly with goalkeepers for the men. Prior to that, he created and led the inaugural women’s soccer program at West Virginia State to a winning season. He also served as a Graduate Assistant at Frostburg University for both the women’s and men’s programs.
 
In youth soccer, Butler has held various roles, including Academy Director for RSL West Valley. He has coached in many countries and won several state championships in the US.
 
Originally from Barnehurst, England, Butler earned an undergraduate degree in Physical Education & Sport Science from Canterbury Christchurch University. He holds multiple master’s degrees: one in Business Marketing from McKendree University, one in Sports Studies from West Virginia State University, and one in Education from Frostburg State University. Additionally, he has a UEFA B License, FA Goalkeeping credentials, and various other coaching certifications.
