Jason Hammonds

Jason Hammonds, originally from Morgan Hill, California, has an extensive background in soccer coaching, bolstered by a series of advanced certifications and diplomas. His education includes a variety of credentials from United Soccer Coaches, such as Advanced Technical Training (2020), Performance Analysis Level 2 (2021), and the prestigious Director of Coaching Diploma (2019). He has also earned several diplomas in specific areas like Small Sided Games (2017), Goalkeeper Coaching (2016, 2019), and Systems of Play (2019). Furthermore, Jason holds a National "B" License (2021) from the United States Soccer Federation, alongside other certifications including the National "C" (2017) and "D" Licenses (2015).

In his coaching career, Jason has been the Varsity Girls Head Coach at Casteel High School since 2015, where he has led the team to multiple state championships, including 5A State titles in 2019-2020 and 2021-2022, as well as a 3A State Championship in 2017-2018. His success has earned him numerous accolades, such as the United Soccer Coaches Large School Coach of the Year (2020-2021) and multiple All Conference and Region Coach of the Year awards. In addition to his high school coaching, Jason is currently a Girls’ Team Head Coach and the Grassroots and Recreational Program Director at Arizona Arsenal Soccer Club, where he also serves as the Girls’ E64 RL Director and a WPSL Assistant Coach. He has previously coached at Arizona Soccer Club and Gilbert Youth Soccer Association.
