Mike Duhaney enters his third season with the Redhawks. In his first season as head coach, he was able to take the team to the Cal Pac Conference playoffs. Duhaney currently has an 18-19-5 overall record at the helm of the women's soccer program.
Mike played collegiately for UNLV and played professionally in the MLS, being named Rookie of the Year in 1997. He also played in the German Bundesliga for Mainz 05 under current Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp. Head Men’s Soccer Coach at South Mountain Community College (20011) ... DOC and Technical Coaching Director at AZSC and FC Barcelona and an Arizona ODP coach. Coached teams that have competed in 5 Regional and one National final. He is the father of Benedictine’s men's team player and Cal Pac Freshman of the Year Donovahnn Duhaney.Â
International Career:2002-2003: Played in the German Bundesliga for Mainz 05. Known for his foot skills and speed at the left back and center mid position. Awarded most valuable player award against Greuter-Furth and Cameroon.Â
Career:2001: In his sophomore season with the Columbus Crew, appeared in 35 games starting all 35. Playing mostly midfield this season, was recognized for his ability to get into the attack and his tireless defensive work. Was named the Crew's most valuable player of the game six times and played the most minutes of any field player. Scored one goal and ten assists. 2000: In his first full season with the Columbus Crew, appeared in 20 games, starting 14. Scored one goal and two assists, proving to be the most attack-oriented player in a defensive position for the Crew.1999: Appeared in 19 games, starting 13 for the Metro Stars. Scored one goal on August 25 vs. the Revs but was lost for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury.
1998: Started the first 16 games of the season for Tampa Bay before being traded to the Metro Stars in June.  Registered one assist with Tampa Bay. Started 10 of his 14 appearances with the Metro Stars, notching a goal and an assist. Played both games of the Eastern Conference Semifinal games against Columbus. Started all three games of the U.S. Open Cup for the Metros ...1997: Appeared in 27 games for Tampa Bay, starting 25 ... Named the 1997 MLS Rookie of the Year ... Missed five games due to a broken nose suffered in May against Dallas ... Played 90 minutes in each of the Mutiny’s Conference Semifinal losses to Columbus ...
