Benedictine University Mesa

Aolani Hosanna Motu joins the Benedictine University Mesa women's volleyball program in 2026 as a middle blocker. A native of Florence, Arizona, Motu attended Poston Butte High School, where she excelled as a multi-sport athlete, competing in volleyball, soccer, track and field, and wrestling. She served as the Class President in 2024, placed third at the Arizona 3A State Championships in both discus and wrestling, and set multiple school records. Motu comes to Benedictine Mesa after two seasons at Mesa Community College, where she appeared in 60 matches and recorded 239 kills, 173 total blocks, and a .183 hitting percentage. She helped the Thunderbirds with a strong presence at the net, including 116 blocks during her freshman season. Bringing collegiate experience, athletic versatility, and proven success across multiple sports, Motu adds strength and depth to the Redhawks' front row.
