Benedictine University Mesa

Marley Cortez joins the Benedictine University Mesa women's volleyball program in 2026 as an outside and opposite hitter. A native of Mesa, Arizona, Cortez attended Chandler High School before continuing her career at Mesa Community College, where she established herself as one of the top players in the ACCAC. During her time with the Thunderbirds, she earned NJCAA Volleyball National Championship All-Tournament Team honors, was named to the All-ACCAC Second Team, and received ACCAC Division II Offensive Player of the Week recognition. Over two seasons at Mesa Community College, Cortez appeared in 66 matches and 243 sets, totaling 615 kills, 633 digs, 48 service aces, and 716.0 points. She averaged 2.53 kills and 2.60 digs per set during her collegiate career while recording a .183 hitting percentage. In her sophomore season, she tallied 292 kills, 297 digs, and 41 blocks while helping lead her team to national tournament success. A dynamic six-rotation player with proven collegiate experience, Cortez brings a strong all-around game and championship-level experience to the Redhawks as she begins her first season at Benedictine Mesa.
