The Benedictine University women's volleyball team entered the match tied with the Warriors for first place in the Cal Pac standings. Both teams had 10-1 records going into the match with BenU's only loss coming to Westcliff while the Warriors only loss was to Embry-Riddle the night before.
The Redhawks finished the trip tied for first with the Warriors. Both teams are now 11-2 in Cal Pac with the Warriors holding the advantage giving the Redhawks their only losses in conference.
Senior libero Haley Rivera recorded a career high 35 digs against Westcliff. The Redhawks had another strong outing fro freshman outside hitter, Laylah Daniel, with 19 kills. Brianna Rivera followed with 15 kills and 7 digs. Kylie Bartel had another triple-double with 10 kills, 26 assists, and 13 digs. Keshara Montgomery led the block with 5, 4 solo and 1 assisted.
The Redhawks finished the match with 57 kills to the Warriors 51, but had 30 errors while the Warriors had 21. The Warriors outhit the Redhawks .172-to-.136 in hitting percentage. The Redhawks had 98 digs to their 96 and had 5 blocks to their 12.
SATURDAY, OCT. 15 - VS. UNIVERSITY OF SAINT KATHERINE

The Redhawks came back from a heartbreaking loss against the Warriors to showing their offensive power against the Firebirds. It took the first set going neck and neck for the Redhawks to get a rhythm. By the second set, the Redhawks were outhitting the Firebirds .320 to .071. The Redhawks continued to control the match well into the third set, holding the 2-0 advantage. The Firebirds rallied early in the third until the 14-13 mark when the match would slip away from them and end in favor of the Redhawks, 25-20.
Brianna Rivera led the Redhawks offense with 17 kills and hit a team high of .424. Layla Daniel had 10 kills and had a .350 hitting percentage. The Redhawks had 42 kills and hit for .299 hitting percentage in 97 attempts.

The Redhawks return to Arizona to host La Sierra University and Antelope Valley. The match against La Sierra will be Thursday, October 20th at 6 p.m. at Bell Bank Park. The match against Antelope Valley will be Saturday, October 22nd at 6:30 p.m.
