MESA, Ariz. – The Benedictine University Mesa baseball team finished their sweep of Simpson University with a 9-4 win. The Redhawks totaled 33 runs and 41 hits in the series against Simpson. The Redhawks improve to 16-7 overall and 3-0 in Cal Pac play.

Anthony Sortino went 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple, double, and one RBI. Travis Reaves went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI. Carlos Parra had one hit in the game that produced two runs for the Redhawks.

Mikito Barkman went three innings before allowing a run to cross the plate. Barkman threw 6 innings allowing the single run, four hits, and tossed 6 strikeouts.

The Redhawks will continue Cal Pac play in California with a three-game series against La Sierra University. The series will take place in Riverside, Calif. with the first games being held on Thursday, March 16.
