MESA, Ariz – The Benedictine University Mesa baseball team picked up another win and completed the sweep of in-state rival, Embry-Riddle. The Redhawks defeated the Eagles, 8-4, on Saturday afternoon. The Redhawks improve to 24-7 overall and 9-0 in Cal Pac while extending their win streak to 21 wins.
Anthony Sortino went 3-for-4 in the game with a grand slam homerun over the left center fence. Sortino totaled five RBI and one run.
Josh Hernandez went 2-for-4 with one RBI and one run.
Brock Johnson also went 2-for-4 with one run scored.
Travis Reaves went 1-for-5 with a solo shot homerun to start the game against the Eagles.
Along with the Redhawks impressive win streak,
Travis Reaves has been on a 20-game hit streak which started on February 16 against Mount Mercy. Reaves has had an appearance in 30 games this season and recorded a hit in 28 of those games.
