The Benedictine Women's Basketball Team showcased a dominant performance against the Pacific Union Pioneers on Saturday night, securing a convincing 97-47 victory and extending their six-game win streak.

Maria Moore started the Redhawks off with a layup to put the team on the board. The Pioneers kept it relatively close until about the 3:59 mark when BenU went up by 7. A remarkable 10-point run by the Redhawks closed out the first quarter with a commanding lead of 26-9.

In the second quarter, the Redhawks demonstrated superiority in rebounding, outpacing the Pioneers 11 to 3. This advantage translated into more scoring opportunities, and BenU capitalized by adding 27 points to their tally. The halftime score reflected their dominance, with BenU leading by 32, 53-21.

Returning from the half, the Benedictine women continued to extend their lead, collectively contributing 22 points. BenU also exhibited a strong defensive effort, limiting the Pioneers to a 20% shooting percentage from the field.

In the final quarter, BenU maintained their scoring momentum, consistently widening the gap. Although the Redhawks at times extended the lead to 52 points, they ultimately concluded with an impressive 50-point victory, marking the team's highest win margin of the season.
