The Benedictine Mesa Women's basketball team faced a tough defeat against Embry-Riddle this afternoon, with a final score of 55-82.
 
The game started with Raenesha Willis making a layup to get the Redhawks on the board. The lead changed hands multiple times until the 3-minute mark, after which Embry-Riddle secured the lead and ended the first half at 17-21.
 
In the second quarter, the Eagles extended their lead, reaching a 13-point advantage at one point. Despite out-rebounding Embry-Riddle, the Redhawks struggled with shooting, managing only 31.6% from the field. This contributed to BenU trailing 33-42 at halftime.
 
Despite efforts to narrow the gap, the Redhawk Women couldn't overcome Embry-Riddle's lead in the third quarter. The Eagles increased their advantage, capitalizing on the Redhawks' shooting challenges.
 
The shooting struggles persisted for the Redhawks in the fourth quarter, allowing Embry-Riddle to further extend their lead. The game concluded with a 27-point difference, resulting in a final score of 55-82.
