The Benedictine Baseball team fell to #1 Southeastern University Thursday afternoon.
Southeastern scored first and put 3 on the board by the end of the 1
st inning. But BenU answered with a run of their own due to Curran's double to center field that brought Bauler home. The Redhawks scored again in the 3
rd inning when Jowaiszas hit a sacrifice fly to the left field to bring Curran home, 2-3. Southeastern scored 6 more runs, before BenU scored. Due to an error by the short stop Vine-Close score in the 5
th inning to bring the score to 3-9. Southeastern scored in the 9
th inning. In the 8
th Parra singled to right field to allow Sortino to score, 4-10. Southeastern scored once more in the 9
th to end the game 4-11.
The Redhawks are back in action Saturday for the last day of the East West Challenge taking on Bellevue and Ave Maria at 10 AM and 4:45 PM.
