The Benedictine Mesa Baseball team lost Wednesday night to St. Thomas University 3-8.
The two teams stayed off the board for the first two innings, but in the 3
rd, St. Thomas pulled ahead scores twice. In the fourth St. Thomas added another run to their score. In the 5
th inning St. Thomas added two runs. But in the bottom of the 5
th BenU answered thanks to a double by Fitzgerald that brough Bauler home. Later in the 5
th Santos singled to the left field to allow Fitzgerald to score, finishing out the inning with two runs. St. Thomas scored twice again in the 7
th and once more in the 8
th. In the bottom of the 9
th, Parra scored to give BenU energy to try and win. But unfortunately, it didn't pan out in the Redhawks' favor.
The Redhawks are back in action Thursday at 12:30 PM at Gene Autry taking on #1 Southeastern.
