BenU managed to establish a lead with 10 minutes remaining, gradually extending it as the game progressed. Although Simpson made attempts to close the gap, Benedictine consistently kept them at bay. The Redhawks entered halftime with a comfortable 13-point lead, leading 44-31.

However, Simpson staged a comeback, narrowing the gap to just a couple of points with 5 minutes left on the clock. Despite the close call, Benedictine battled fiercely, maintaining their lead, and ultimately securing the win with a final score of 77-75.
