The Benedictine Men's Volleyball team experienced a defeat in four sets against Menlo College, with set scores of 12-25, 25-22, 22-25, and 17-25.
In the first set, Menlo took an early lead, but BenU responded quickly, staying competitive until the 3-5 mark when Menlo embarked on a 4-point run. Despite a service error, Menlo continued with another 4-point run, extending their lead, and ultimately securing the set 12-25.
The second set saw Menlo initiating a 3-point run, countered by a kill from
Trevor Weinert for Benedictine. The Redhawks rallied, tying the game at 8-8 and eventually taking the lead. The teams battled back and forth, with BenU maintaining the lead, ultimately winning the set 25-22.
In the third set, the lead switched between the two teams until the Redhawks had a 4-point run, reaching 13-11. However, Menlo fought back, reclaiming the lead and securing the set 22-25 after a 5-point run.
The fourth set saw Menlo dominating early with a 6-point run, establishing a score of 1-7. Despite Benedictine's efforts to come back, Menlo maintained control, achieving another 4-point run to lead 20-11. The Redhawks fought hard but ultimately fell to Menlo 17-25.
