The Benedictine Mesa Baseball team faced a 2-4 defeat in the opening game of their series against Arizona Christian University.
 
 The Redhawks secured an early lead in the third inning, with Preston Vine-Close's right-center single bringing Ivan Santos II home, followed by Vine-Close scoring on a wild pitch from ACU. However, the tide turned in the 5th inning when the Firestorm hit a home run with the bases loaded, resulting in the Redhawks trailing 2-4. Despite a determined effort, Benedictine couldn't reclaim the lead, concluding the game with a final score of 2-4.
