MVB Sweeps Saint Katherine In 3 Sets

The Benedictine Mesa Men's Volleyball team secured a decisive victory over Saint Katherine, winning in three sets with final scores of 25-21 across all sets.

In the initial set, Benedictine initially led until Saint Katherine briefly surged ahead at 9-9. However, a resilient Benedictine squad, led by Gehrig Tolman and Dapre Rogers, regained control with a critical 3-point run, ultimately sealing the set 25-21.

The second set saw Benedictine maintain an early lead, fueled by the offensive prowess of Rogers. Despite Saint Katherine's attempt to rally, Benedictine countered with another 3-point surge, ultimately clinching the set 25-21 with key plays from Gehrig Tolman and Jackson Walsh.

In the third set, Benedictine asserted dominance early with a 4-point run courtesy of Walsh and Chris Kissling's impressive trio of aces. Despite Saint Katherine's efforts to level the playing field, Benedictine seized control at 19-19, securing victory with a decisive kill from Trevor Weinert and closing the set 25-21.
