Baseball Defeats Embry-Riddle in Game 1 of Series

The Benedictine Mesa Baseball team clinched a tight victory against Embry-Riddle in the first game of their series, winning 7-6.

The game's momentum surged in the 2nd inning when Cameron Jowaiszas smashed a home run, bringing Alec Larson, Ryan Curran, and himself home. Antony Sortino followed with a single, bringing Kyle Fenner home. Preston Vine-Close sealed the inning with another homer, bringing Sortino and himself home, putting Benedictine in the lead 6-0. The third inning started with Ryan Curran hitting another homer, extending the lead to 7-0. Despite Embry-Riddle's scoring efforts in the 3rd, 4th, and 9th innings, Benedictine managed to maintain their lead and secure the win 7-6.
