Men's Volleyball engaged in a hard-fought battle against Saint Katherine, pushing the match to a thrilling fifth set but ultimately falling short. The set scores unfolded as 21-25, 28-26, 26-24, 25-16, and 23-25.
Both teams displayed remarkable effort, heightening the intensity with each set as they aimed for victory. In the initial set, the Redhawks worked on finding their rhythm. Progressing to the second set, the team rallied and secured the win, overcoming challenges, including multiple substitutions, until cohesion prevailed. Benedictine mounted a comeback in the third set, briefly taking the lead at 23-22, but the Firebirds responded with three consecutive kills to secure the set.
The fourth set witnessed BenU's resilience, marked by numerous blocks and a standout performance from
Trevor Weinert, typically a middle player, who transitioned to outside hitter and contributed significantly with 4 of his 7 kills. In the closely contested fifth set, Saint Katherine secured the lead, and though BenU managed to level the score at 13-13, two successive kills from the Firebirds concluded the match.
