The Benedictine Mesa Baseball team split their doubleheader with Saint Katherine. They narrowly lost the first game 5-6 but rallied back to secure an 11-6 victory in the second.
In the opening game, Benedictine took an early lead with two runs in the first inning, courtesy of
Ryan Curran and
Jacob Bauler. The game saw back-and-forth action, with Saint Katherine tying the score multiple times. Despite efforts to pull ahead, the Redhawks ultimately fell short in extra innings, losing 5-6.
The second game started with Saint Katherine taking a 2-0 lead in the first inning. However, Benedictine quickly responded, with
Daniel Miranda and
Jose Romero leading the charge to secure a 3-2 lead by the 2nd inning. The Redhawks extended their lead in the 5th inning, and a strong 7th inning sealed their victory, despite Saint Katherine's late attempts to catch up.
