The Benedictine Mesa Men's Volleyball team swept Pacific Union in three consecutive sets with final scores of 25-16, 25-17, and 25-16.
In the first set, the Redhawks dominated with an early 7-point lead which they maintained throughout the game. Despite efforts from Pacific Union to halt their momentum, Benedictine secured the set 25-16, highlighted by key blocks from
Trevor Weinert and
Josh Beymer.
The second set saw Pacific Union taking an early lead with a 5-point run, but Benedictine managed to level the score at 11-11. Subsequently, the Redhawks surged ahead with a 3-point and then a 4-point run, ultimately clinching the set 25-17 on consecutive errors from the Pioneers.
In the third set, Pacific Union once again gained an early lead, but Benedictine responded with a 7-point run led by
Rylon Raczka and
John Jakaitis. Despite attempts from the Pioneers to counter, Benedictine secured the set 25-16, sealing the victory with a decisive play.
