Benedictine Mesa has been named a NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Gold Star Institution.
Colleges earn points for demonstrating their commitment to the Champions of Character program through character training, conduct in competitions, academic focus, character recognition, and character promotion. Points are awarded for exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and having minimal to no ejections during competitions throughout the academic year.
The highest possible score is 100, and Benedictine achieved a perfect score, securing their place on the Gold List as a top scorer.
Athletic Director Charlie Averkamp commented on the award's significance to BenU: "Our student-athletes and coaches do an amazing job representing Benedictine University and the NAIA. This award signifies all their hard work in the classroom, community, and in competition!"
Thank you to all our student-athletes and staff for representing Benedictine Mesa with such respect and dedication, allowing the school to earn this honor.
