Men's Soccer Take Down Buccaneers 4-1

The Benedictine University Mesa men's soccer team delivered a commanding 4-1 victory over Park-Gilbert on Saturday evening.

The Redhawks struck first in the 17th minute when Abel Bello netted a goal to give Benedictine an early 1-0 advantage. The Buccaneers responded quickly, with Monty Almaliky scoring off an assist from Noah Yalu in the 19th minute to even the match at 1-1.

Benedictine continued to press forward, and just before halftime, Raegan Rintoul converted a key chance in the 44th minute off a pass from Ryder Skolka, sending the Redhawks into the break with a 2-1 lead.

The second half saw the Redhawks dominate possession and capitalize on their attacking momentum. In the 50th minute, Carlos Barraza extended the lead to 3-1, finishing a setup from Edwin Arias. The Redhawks sealed the victory in the 73rd minute when Rintoul struck again, recording his second goal of the game and securing the 4-1 win.
