The Benedictine University Mesa women's volleyball team delivered an impressive performance on Wednesday night, sweeping Justice College in straight sets (25–13, 25–20, 25–10).
From the opening serve, the Redhawks controlled the tempo behind a balanced offensive attack and sharp serving runs. In the first set, Benedictine took an early lead after a flurry of kills from
Railey Druxman and
Sophie Drollinger, paired with key assists from
Vivianna Galvan, who directed the offense with precision. The Redhawks surged ahead midway through the frame, going on a 6-0 run that forced Justice to call timeout. They closed out the set 25–13 after a kill from Drollinger sealed the opener.
The second set followed a similar pattern, with Benedictine racing out to a 7–0 lead behind back-to-back service aces from Galvan and a pair of kills from
BelleRose Branconier. Justice responded with a late push, cutting the deficit to three, but the Redhawks stayed composed. Strong defensive play from
Camille Collins and another string of kills from Druxman and Drollinger helped Benedictine secure the 25–20 win.
In the third set, Benedictine's momentum proved too much for Justice to handle. The Redhawks dominated on both sides of the net, opening with a 10–4 advantage before pulling away for a commanding 25–10 victory. Druxman continued to lead the attack, while Branconier and
Janae Moore added timely kills to close out the sweep.
