Benedictine Mesa Women's Basketball standout Alannah Northam has been named the GSAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, highlighting her critical role on the Redhawks roster.
The Redhawks faced Northern New Mexico twice last week, and Northam delivered dominant performances in both matchups. In the first game, she recorded an impressive double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds—eight of those on the defensive end—while adding five steals to help secure the win. In the second game, Northam led the team in scoring with 17 points, complemented by seven rebounds and four steals.
This recognition underscores Northam's impact as a defensive force and a key contributor to the Redhawks' success this season.
